Yes! One of the major tenets of Crossfit is infinite scalability. This means, every exercise/lift/movement can be altered so that any person, for whatever reason, can participate. Be it an injury, weight issue, strength issue or just the temerity that accompanies some of the more complicated gymnastics or Olympic lifting movements, there is nothing we do in CrossFit that cannot be accommodated to your situation(i.e. scaled). As such, anyone can participate. Using difficulty, lack of experience, or being “out of shape” as an inhibiting factor in your choice to begin Crossfitting is no excuse at all!
