Programs

The variety of programming is what sets Atlas apart from other gyms. We have eight different class offerings that include elements of HIIT, Kettlebell, Sports Performance, Circuit and interval training, TRX, Metabolic Conditioning, Gymnastics, Olympic Lifting, and CrossFit. No matter your fitness level or experience, we have programming to fit your needs. Likewise, regardless of your time restrictions, we have a membership package that will work for you.

CIRCUIT FIT

Circuit Fit is a 45-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class that is the staple conditioning workout at Atlas. HIIT is an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT workouts provide improved athletic capacity and condition, as well as improved glucose metabolism. Circuit Fit workouts alternate strength movements (using dumbbells, kettlebells, body weight, and TRX) with cardio movements (such as running, rowing, and spinning) to allow athletes to constantly operate with high intensity for the entire class.

METCON

MetCon stands for “Metabolic Conditioning,” which takes its name from the high-intensity portion of each CrossFit WOD. As such, this class utilizes the same CrossFit formats (Chippers, rounds for time, EMOM, and AMRAP) for 3 separate short-duration (10-15 minutes) workouts during this hourlong class. MetCon is a perfect class for the athlete that is interested in CrossFit, or enjoys CrossFit programming, but does not want to subject themselves to the heavier loads of certain CrossFit workouts.

FIT360

Fit360 focuses on the speed, agility, and quickness (SAQ) that most sports require. Utilizing our 20-meter turf track, cones, hurdles, speed ladders, boxes, plyometric balls, and sleds, Fit360 pushes you to your max with extremely high-intensity short-duration burst of effort. Sprints, jumps, and change of direction movements are the pillars of this class. If you miss the sports practices of your youth, this is the class for you.

TRX TRAINING

KETTLEBELL STRONG

This instructional class focuses completely on the Kettlebell. A Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) certified trainer takes athletes through a thorough examination of Kettlebell technique, before pushing people to their strength and stability thresholds in a workout based on various kettlebell complexes. This class will blast your core for over an hour (1:15) and leave you sore in all new places the next day.

CrossFit

CrossFit is defined as constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. The class will begin with a warm-up including mobility work to prepare your body for the workout. During the middle portion of the class you will work on a specific skill or lift. Each class ends with a short but intense WOD or Workout of the Day. We adhere to the typical CrossFit formatting; including, but not limited to, Chippers, rounds for time, EMOM, and AMRAP.

Olympic Lifting

The Atlas Olympic Weightlifting program is comprised of a weeklong lifting program that athletes complete on their own time. On Saturdays, these athletes meet for a class dedicated to improving their Olympic Weightlifting technique, while completing their week of programming. Olympic Weightlifting is comprised of two dynamic lifts: the snatch and the clean and jerk. These Olympic lifts test aspects of human ballistic limits (explosive strength); the lifts are therefore executed faster—and with more mobility and a greater range of motion during their execution—than other strength movements. Properly executed, the snatch and the clean and jerk are both dynamic and explosive while appearing graceful. Improving your Olympic Weightlifting ability is extremely beneficial to one’s CrossFit performance, as improving efficiency and eliminating wasted movement can help conserve energy.
