Functional Movement

CrossFit is defined as “constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.” For an athlete at Atlas, this means you will be provided creatively programmed workouts that differ every day in format, duration, repetitions, movements, and loads. However, you will always be operating with high intensity, which can be achieved by going fast, heavy, or fast AND heavy! But, don’t worry, CrossFit is for beginners too, as every workout is “infinitely scalable,” which means that it can be modified precisely to each individual’s needs or limitations.

You will measure your workouts using our app and retest them over time to quantify the degree of progress you have made in your fitness. We believe that the focus of your fitness goals should be on performance, rather than cosmetics. That said, the byproduct of maximizing your capacity for work is that you will look and feel great! A truly dedicated CrossFit regimen simply cannot be beat in terms of improvement in body composition and other major biomarkers such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol.
